About Jamie Burns
Jamie Burns is a Chartered Safety and Health Professional, holding Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), with extensive experience supporting organisations across high-risk industries, including energy generation, waste management, recycling, construction, logistics, transport, manufacturing, and the maritime sector.
Jamie has been involved in risk management since the age of 17. This began with 15 years’ service in Her Majesty’s Forces, serving in the British Army, where he developed strong leadership, discipline, problem-solving, and operational risk management skills. Following his military career, Jamie spent 3 years working as a maritime security and risk management consultant, supporting operations where the threat of modern-day piracy was a real consideration.
Since 2015, Jamie has worked in dedicated health and safety management roles, helping businesses improve compliance, reduce risk, and develop practical safety systems that work in the real world.
Jamie has supported a wide range of clients, from large multinational organisations to smaller local businesses. He understands that every business is different and takes pride in getting to know how each organisation operates before providing tailored, practical support. While he enjoys working with businesses of all sizes, Jamie takes particular satisfaction from supporting local companies and helping them grow safely, confidently, and sustainably.
